Today we went on a winter hike to ASCHINGER ALM in Tyrol. The walk up was easy, around an hour, surrounded by snowy landscapes and crisp mountain air that instantly clears your head. Once we reached the mountain hut, we treated ourselves to a cozy lunch. They even had a vegan option on the menu, which made the whole experience feel even better. 

Instead of hiking back down, we rented sleds (which you can get directly at the Alm) and rode all the way down the mountain. It suddenly started snowing heavily — big, soft snowflakes covering everything in white. Winter is my least favorite season of the year. But spending it in the mountains is definetly the best option.
