fashion 101!!!

The odd thing about me is that I love expressing myself through fashion, but at the same time I can be quite lazy about it. I don’t want to spend too much time getting dressed, and I also want to feel comfortable throughout the day — or whatever the occasion. By comfortable, I mean clothes that feel cozy but never boring.

To make getting dressed easier while still keeping my personal style, I only buy or keep pieces that feel good to wear (in terms of fabric, fit, and size) but have something special about them. Like this white blouse, for example, which I found in a secondhand shop in Vietnam for €1.50. It has black ties on the sleeves and a double collar. Normally, a white blouse could feel quite generic — but this one's special.

The black pants I got tailored in Hoi An so they fit perfectly. I got to choose the fabric and design them myself. At first glance they might look like regular suit pants, but the devil is in the details — that’s what makes them unique.

Another thing I like to invest in to elevate simple — and often very inexpensive — outfits (since about 90% of my closet is secondhand) are designer handbags, also bought pre-loved. This Balenciaga bag, for example, I bought almost ten years ago, maybe even longer. Back then it wasn’t as hyped as it is now, which made it much more attainable.
