Anytime I feel like getting away for the weekend, Munich is my go-to — especially in summer. There’s always an interesting exhibition at the PINAKOTHEK DER MODERNE or the BRANDHORST MUSEUM, along with so many other amazing places to experience art.

During the day, strolling around Glockenbach or Maxvorstadt makes it easy to discover multiple cute spots for coffee or small snacks. DAS METTA, a gluten-free and vegan bakery close to the museums, is a place I love to visit whenever I’m in Munich. Afterwards you could have da swim in the Isar or Eisbach in Englischer Garten.

For dinner, my go-to is TIVU near Gärtnerplatz — a contemporary Vietnamese restaurant that serves tapas and a vegan surprise menu for two.
