I got invited to dinner at CHIEMGAUHOF, a still quite new luxury hotel that officially opened in February 2025 right on the shores of Chiemsee.

The interior design? 10/10. 

They kept original elements from the hotel that stood there before and combined them with modern yet cozy Bavarian design details. Every plate is vintage, and the black fireplace adds a nostalgic touch to the otherwise luxurious atmosphere. The color palette feels warm and moody, inspired by darker tones found in nature — deep greens, muted blues, and earthy shades. Together with the wooden elements, it creates a space that feels both stylish, calming and comfortable.
