There is just something I can’t really explain — like a spark, something magical about a vibrant European city in summer. And especially about Frankfurt.

Feeling the city wake up after the long, cold months of winter and watching it bloom again is energizing. When I’m working on a creative project, I’m usually introverted and deeply focused. Expressing myself creatively feeds me so much that I don’t want or need any stimulation from the outside. But as soon as summer arrives in the city, I love being out and about. There’s just so much to experience, so much to explore.

Going to the flea market by the river on a Saturday morning. Having iced matcha with friends at a cute neighborhood café. Biking all around town. Cooking with all the windows and doors open before having dinner on the balcony. Sitting at Jazz Montez while watching the sun go down behind the skyline, tinting the towers pink before they begin to sparkle like stars with their countless tiny windows.

Frankfurt is magical and will always have a special place in my heart — even though I have the quiet intuition that soon it might be time to go.
