The flow state — I guess most people have heard about it and hopefully experienced it. It’s when you’re so aligned with what you’re doing that you lose your sense of time and space.

I’ve definitely experienced flow while meditating or practicing yoga, but never in the way I do when I’m working on a creative project. Not every creative project, though. Sometimes yes, if it’s for a client or an agency. But if it’s a personal project or something I feel emotionally connected to, I fall into the flow so deeply that I become completely obsessed. I forget to eat because I don’t want to waste a single minute not working. I can barely sleep at night because my mind is filled with ideas and an intense pull to create. The only way for me to get out of it is to finish the project that got me obsessed in the first place.

I remember when I was quite young and used to paint on large canvases — I would enter the flow state so deeply that I couldn’t think about anything else but continuing to paint. I had to force myself to get some rest at night, only to wake up at three or four a.m. because I wanted to finish the painting.

Recently, I’ve experienced this same obsession while creating this blog. It’s just so much fun to collect all the beautiful things my life has to offer and store them here as memories. I honestly don’t care whether anyone sees this, is reading this or not. It's simply a practice for me to appreciate even more the incredible things I am blessed to experience and store them in a way that is fun and natural to me. I’m creating a space where I can showcase and relive the moments of my life. I am so thankful and happy!
